     Title: ARTEMIS Autumn Event & Co-Summit 2009

In 2008, the first ARTEMIS Autumn event was organized with ITEA2 in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) which was perceived as very successful, so both parties decided to continue the co-summit approach in 2009 in Madrid (Spain).

At the event in Rotterdam last year, ITEA2 presented as usual its projects in an exhibition for the purpose of dissemination. At that time, the First Call for ARTEMIS projects was still in its selection phase, therefore the ARTEMIS projects could not present themselves at the exhibition. This year however, the situation has changed. Now, for the first time, the ARTEMIS JU Programme is able to present twelve projects in active execution. Together with the ITEA2 projects, this will entail an exhibition of some 65 European innovative projects in Information Systems and Embedded Intelligence.

In order to show the impact and relevance of the ARTEMIS projects to a wide public, Visual Tools S.A., as a project leader of one of the ARTEMISIA projects (iLAND), will organise an stand at the project exhibition during the Co-Summit in Madrid on October 29 and 30.-

The exhibition will attempt to give and receive a global vision of:

the importance of co-operative research on embedded systems;
how the ARTEMIS strategy for embedded systems is succesfully executed
the relevance for the improvement of European competitiveness;
networking opportunities.
